Devil's Rejects finds your stars of House Of A Thousand Corpses on the run from an officer who's brother they killed in House. Let's just cut to the chase on this one. Rob Zombie is a brilliant director. He set's up great shots. Zombie executes very well. He understands the pacing of horror much better than most directors on their second film. What he is missing though is great writing. The plots of his movies get easily lost in the cinematography and exploitative nature of the film in general. This movie is better than the first because the pacing and general layout has gotten better. Way to learn from your mistakes. Next time have a real writing team put your movie together for you and then just expand on their ideas, Rob. You can make great lines and sequence action in a way that not many directors can these days. Just quit trying to write a horror opus. Its not you. Making good movies could be though, and Devil's Rejects is proof.
