{action}- LOTS. The greatest gun shot ever. Seriously the pause shot is genius.

{humor}- This movie is so bad that its campy funny. Funny since its so modern.

{blood}- Run rabit.

{gore}- Yesth.

{nudity}- Rob Zombie slightly pimps out his wife. Not a bad thing.

{acting}- Bad. Very bad.

{plot}- There isn't one. Not much makes sense in this movie its all about a feeling. Fear.

{film quality}- I remember thinking in the theatre that it wasn't quality film but it is quality execution of the resources they have. Very nice.

{entertainment factor}- It grips you as fast as it looses you.

2 guys and 2 girls are on a trip to write news stories about off the beaten path attractions. Its on this trip that they find Captain Spaulding's Murder Ride. (And gas station.) They go off to find the tree of Dr. Satan who they learn about on the ride. Next thing you know they are in a house that makes Texas Chainsaw Massacre look like sesame street. The acting is bad the plot is non existent but its so visual it takes over. House of A 1000 Corpses is the movie every horror fan would make if they were going to throw a quick script together. Too many monsters. Too much weirdness for the sake of being weird. No continuity. To elaborate, sometimes this movie is too visual and too relentless. What happens if you want to make movies but you are only making a movie? You end up with a script that has 20 heels that seemed to be wedged in every possible corner. Second, if you want to make a character seem evil and you don't know how to set up proper dialog to display this, just include pointless random scenes that have absolutely no meaning where they talk about how much they like killing. It's easy to poke endless holes in this horror movie. Its hard to watch it and not enjoy it. If it’s a tribute to exploitation and horror you want, here... you get.
