Chris- “I dumped myself.”

It’s Halloween night, what better things to do than go trick or treating, rent scary movies, or go to a party?

While on his way home from the store, Christopher finds an invitation on the ground to a “Murder Party.” With nothing better to do, he makes a gladiator-style costume out of cardboard and duct tape, and heads to the address listed. Upon arrival, he sees five others in costume, waiting. Little does he know, that HIS murder is the theme of this party.

Sky-zombie cheerleader
Paul-19th century vampire
Bill-dead baseball player
Macon-wolfman
Lexi-space girl
Alexander-19th century vampire

Sky dies after falling off a box and hitting her head on a chunk of metal. The leader, Alexander, and his drug dealer, Zycho, arrive, so Sky’s body is quickly stashed in a freezer so they won’t see it. Even though each person gives Alex their vision of how Chris should be murdered, he decides that stabbing him until death, at midnight, is the best way to show their artistic expression.

Chris escapes, but is caught and tied back up. A game of truth or dare is played after injecting a drug called the truth serum, which then leads to an open telling of secrets. Paul’s assistant then arrives to help with the filming of Chris’s murder.

The wolfman goes outside for a smoke, and while trying to light a cigarette with his alcohol-drenched mask on, he sets himself ablaze. This is where all hell breaks loose.

Zycho shoots Paul and his assistant per Alex’s request. The wolfman, having somewhat recovered, attacks Zycho with an electric chainsaw because he’s trying to kill Lexi. Bill, although fairly recluse up to this point, plants an axe in Lexi’s head, and then starts hacking up Alex. Chris gets free again, and makes a run for it, finding a way out through the roof. While running across building tops, he ends up joining another party. Bill comes after him with the axe, and takes out anyone that gets in his path. The wolfman comes after Bill with the chainsaw, but loses balance and falls off the roof. Bill catches up with Chris and proceeds to try and kill him, but Chris gets the wolfman’s dangling chainsaw, and takes Bill out.

After a long night, he heads home in his blood-drenched cardboard armor and rests in front of the TV.

This has the same style of humor as Night of the Living Dorks. I chuckled a few times, but never an outright laugh. The story is fairly unique, but not always the best executed. And, almost every scene tries to be camp. It’s worth a rent, as is Night of the Living Dorks, but don’t expect to bust a gut or piss yourself in laughter.
