Bleeding Rose by Smokeskrene

BLEEDING ROSE

{overall rating}- * *

{action}- Not really.

{humor}- Out of all the people who are amazing singers they cast a few who are not.

{blood}- Yes. The quality is either here nor there though. It looks like a thick candy drink you’d get in a tube.

{gore}- Not really. Creative angles and cutaways.

{nudity}- I think the potential of it carried me through a lot of this movie. No.

{acting}- Very natural delivery. There are moments when you will wonder if you’re watching the real world. Others its Springer. The word conscience is actually mispronounced.

{plot}- The basic plot is good as is the script. However, it works a good share of the time. The whole roses idea and title should have been cut.

{film quality}- Real world meets brain damage. The sound quality blows.

{entertainment factor}- It actually kept me entertained.

{Aprox. amount of time spent fast forwarding}- 4 mins.

A young singer moves back to her old city after a break up with her boyfriend. She bumps into her friend Cedrick, a producer, who wants to record her. The Cedrick has his eye on her and the boyfriend has a hex on her. I refrain from using this woman’s name because it’s the worst stereotypical name you could ever write into a movie. Okay its Ebony. If the Cedrick were a baseball player his average would be horrible because he strikes out all over the place with Ebony. See ebony has a thing for the white boys. Except for her Ex who was some kind of a white trash , girlfriend beating warlock. Ebony finally feels close enough to the cedrick to try and date him and she finds him back with his ex. Wait . This is a horror movie right? I just keep thinking this is college hill or real world. So suddenly someone begins harassing Ebony’s friends. And by harassing I mean text messaging and the killing. With a bat ironically. Home runs, every time. Do black people play hand ball? Its an age old question answered in this movie while dialog is being delivered. At some point this movie’s dialog just loses all direction. Its sort of like the words all just turn into overly sentimental garbage. Seriously the dialog is as bad as the lyrics these people are writing. Cedrick’s girl thinks he’s with ebony and that’s when it "keep it real goes wrong." This movie is over written and under acted and vise versa. Somehow though it holds itself together and is entertaining. Then there’s the end with the expected yet unexpected plot twist that just kills the entire movie. I don’t think that many people will enjoy this but I thought it was a decent experience. Not for the average viewer. Rent it if your very open minded and or bored. Don’t own it. Ever.
