{overall rating}- * * * 1/2 (I'm a hypocrite it won't happen again.)
{action}- The upside down police car is classic.
{humor}- Like Nightmare on Elmstreet it serious and that’s why it's funny.
{blood}- Good guy's always bleed.
{gore}- Doll gore I guess.
{nudity}- I wish.. mmmm Catherine Hicks.
{acting}- Much better than its predecessors.
{plot}- It’s a neat idea for the time.
{film quality}- Typical middle 80's.
{entertainment factor}- Much slower than I remember it being but its paced pretty nicely.
Charles Lee Ray Likes to strangle people. That is until he's chased by the police and forced to cast a spell which puts him inside a good guy doll. Now his new goal is to find a human body to take over so he can become human again. Catherine Hicks (mommy on 7th Heaven) buys her son the birthday present he's been dreaming of, Chucky the good guy doll. But Chucky is not a good guy. He wants to take over the body of the young boy and is willing to kill anyone who tries to stop him. This movie has the ability to make scared for the characters while being funny. Not many movies can pull this off. (REFERENCE- The sequels.) This movie will never be considered the greatest horror film by anyone, but it is a good movie. You won't see much puppetry better than this.
