{blood}- Quite a bit of whipping goes on in this movie so yes.
{gore}- Not really its thing.
{nudity}- Yes. Within minutes actually.
{acting}- Ask someone who speaks Japanese. The subtitles were convincing I guess.
{plot}- Very well layered.
{film quality}- The quality isn't the greatest but the do set up lots of beautiful shots. There's a whipping with roses that is almost magical.
{entertainment factor}- Depends who you are. I thought it was entertaining for the genre.

Its not often you find a nunsploitation gem on Netflix. This is a nice one. A young Asian girl has her last night out and then moves into her very oppressive role as a nun. When she gets there she witnesses insanity such as nun's whipping themselves for being tempted. Nun's being pitted against each other with bullwhips as punishments. She soon realizes everyone has a secret. This movie questions the catholic philosophy on many levels and is one of the most religiously offensive movies I've seen in a while. This movie will have exploitation fans applauding and regular movie watchers furious. Its to its credit that the cinematography is so well done as it makes the offensiveness easier to handle. The screenplay is very complicated but really seems to translate well. There are a lot of these kinds of movies that just seem to be lost in the transference of culture. This one will awe and offend people of all ages.
